Seeking an experienced UNIX/Linux Security Engineer for an immediate opening. The successful candidate will work with our Security Team to assist in deployment and operations of managed security services.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years experience with Solaris and Linux - FreeBSD a plus
- Knowledgeable in server hardening based on industry standard best practices
- Knowledgeable in encryption, web application firewalls, intrusion detection, and various other security technologies
- Experience in developing and documenting security standards and procedures related to UNIX security services
- Experience in deploying security patches and maintaining a global patch management infrastructure
- Experience performing risk assessments with associated vulnerability detection and mitigation
- Security+ certification required or obtained within the first 3 months
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP and secure network architectures
- Strong written and verbal skills
Desired Skills:
- RHCE, SCSA, CCNA and/or CISSP certifications
- Scripting experience in bash and/or perl
- Experience with Tripwire and SIM/SIEM operations
- Knowledgeable in PCI DSS operations and implementation
On-call/after hours availability
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
